The Blazers “Red Hot”. Route 2009. Excellent album coming from The Blazers, leaded by the faultless Pete Cohan’s voice, who, as usual, shows amazing vocal conditions. The rest of the band are Josh Gordon on guitar, Andrew Taylor on bass and Chris Craig on drums, You will also find three deluxe guest musicians, organ and piano player David McMorrow, together with two winners of reputed Canadian JUNE Awards, guitar player Jack de Keyzer and singer, harmonica and sax player Al Lerman. All them do a remarkable work that will be greatly appreciated and valued by aficionados. A bright selection of songs, full of a powerful intensity and joy, perfect to dance, on a splendid mixture of the best rock ‘n’ roll, swing, funky, groove and tons of ‘rockin’ rhythm & blues’ is what you will find along the whole cd. The Blazers are a flamboyant explosive band with clear ideas of what they want to do, who are gradually reaching a great popularity among Canadian audience, specially in Toronto area where they basically move and regularly play. Taverns, clubs, pizza-diners, barbecue grills, theatre halls and other venues and festivals are the normal places to find them live showing what they are able to do. GREAT.

The Blazers had a great time at the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival. We were on the street for the BLUES CRUISE - 300 classic cars and 12 bands on the street - 5pm - 9pm. The rain held off until 8:45pm then the mad scramble to get the cars and band equipment in. Thanks to the Johnny Lane Band for letting us share their P.A. System. Pete had to take off to Rock and Roll Heaven for an evening gig!

All and all...it was a great time, the Orangeville staff was super as usual and is appreciated for their help running a 4 day festival! Danny Marks opened for David Wilcox to a great crowd! See u next year!

FIRESOUND is at Rock and Roll Heaven Fri June 4th - The Firesound band is comprised of 7 Toronto Firefighters. The aim of the band now is to raise money for Camp Bucko the burn camp for kids. A great cause that our Toronto Professional Firefighters Association is very involved in. The camp is here in Ontario & makes a difference for kids who are recovering from burn injuries.

2009 was a great year for The Blazers, we have met some wonderful new friends and fans of our music and released our new album RED HOT.
